YOU CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE TODAY!
Susan M. Gorski Preissing, her husband Joseph, their children, Andrew, Alison, and Alexander have great passion for the three A’s: Academics, Arts, and Athletics. Susan was academically minded serving on the School District 25 School Board for 12 years, was an avid athletics and arts patron while supporting her children’s passions in all ways. Susan was a regular in the stands and seats at PHS events, as all of her children are graduates of Prospect High School. She loved the school deeply. Sadly, Susan passed away in May of 2021 from COVID-19.
Her family decided to honor her passions by funding scholarships each year to PHS Seniors.
One, $3,000, award will be given to students planning to pursue teaching or a life in the arts. In the years following the family will fund two scholarships, one awarded for academic or athletic excellence and the other shall be awarded to a student planning to pursue teaching or a life in the arts.
The Susan M. Gorski Preissing Memorial Scholarship is administered by District 214 Education Foundation , and students are selected by the Preissing Family.
